What is the future of liberalism? Liberalism is the technology so to speak behind democracy which makes democracy function. Liberal democracy is thus essentially an advanced machinery with democracy being the hardware and liberalism being the software. One should therefore be careful when deconstructing liberalism since its collapse would lead to the collapse of democracy.
The future of liberalism lies in universal emancipation. Liberalism must champion the rights of those denied emancipation. Who are the unemancipated?Those are sexual minorities of many different kinds, intersexuals, non-binary transgender people, sex workers, people with disability, legal minors and yes animals.
Furthermore will there be challenges for liberal democracy to survive in the age of ASI (Artificial Super Intelligence) which might threaten the survival of liberalism itself.
