Western international recognition of a a non-existent so-called ”Palestinian state” will have three consequences: 1) realization of Israeli sovereignty on something like 50% of Judea and Samaria, 2) Israeli government recognition of all Israeli outposts on state lands and 3) the final end of Palestinian-Israeli final status negotiations which were always a farce anyway.
What are the necessary requirements for a Palestinian state to happen? 1) Complete and thorough de-nazification and de-radicalization; not only in Gaza but in Judea and Samaria as well. 2) Acceptance of defensible borders for Israel. 3) Acceptance of end of claims (which Palestinians refer to as ”the conspiracy to liquidate the Palestinian cause”). 4) Acceptance of a united Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty and the current status quo on the Temple Mount, including Jewish visits. 5) Removing forgery and denial of history from the Palestinian narrative.
These demands are not unreasonable but are unacceptable to the current Palestinian leadership in Judea and Samaria because they don’t want peace.
