The issue of erecting wind turbines near Druze Golan villages has triggered riots and clashes, yet it appears that not everyone in the Israeli government is aware of the strategic implications. Israel needs to consider its future relationship with the entire Druze people, also in regions that are currently part of Syria and Lebanon, areas that will become part of Israel after the conclusion of the Northern War. This relationship is vastly more important than a relatively speaking small number of wind turbines. The Israeli Deep State would be particularly well-advised to put an end to these construction plans.
