The Biden Administration Does not Understand the MENA Region

The Biden administration is displeased that Prime Minister Netanyahu opposes a reinstatement of the PA in Gaza. First, the US government does not understand that no Arab government is sincerely interested in committing to administering the Gaza Strip prior to the complete pacification of that territory. Second, the PA won’t really be interested in taking over Gaza unless Netanyahu opposes it. Third, the PA is hardly capable of fully administering Gaza, considering its inability to control Jenin and Nablus. Fourth, the only way that the PA could control Gaza would be if the region were to be given the status of Area B. Diplomatically discussing this issue now at this extremely premature stage makes the Americans look like complete fools.
