Palestinian Statehood will Never Happen

Why will Palestinian statehood never happen? First because neither side sincerely believes in a two-state solution. Second because it cannot be imposed for the simple reasons that the PA has no interest in ending the conflict and Israel will not sacrifice its security, defense and existence no matter the foreign pressure. The withdrawal from Gaza was one giant experiment in Palestinian statehood, guess what, as illustrated on October 7, it turned out disastrous, why should anyone expect a different outcome in Judea and Samaria? Those like Josep Borrell who obsess about Palestinian statehood should know better. How can it be that a professor of mathematics like Borrell does not understand the simple arithmetics? The major lesson to be drawn from October 7 is that a Palestinian state would utterly endanger the security of the Jewish state and Israel would have no choice but to permanently occupy the entire Palestinian state in the face of major and constant terrorism. We must not forget that the purpose of Palestinian terrorism is to make Israel unlivable for Jews and prompt major Jewish emigration from Israel. Without a major IDF presence in Judea and Samaria would that state no doubt be taken over by Hamas as already once happened in Gaza. There is every reason to expect that it would happen a second time in Gaza.
