A Shorter Intensive War or a Longer Less Intensive One?

Recently has the view come out from Washington according to which the Biden administration prefers a less intensive war in Gaza and is pressuring Israel in that direction. But does the White House realize that a less intensive war means a longer war and is that really in the interest of either the United States or Israel? On the contrary, Washington’s traditional attitude has since 1973 been to shorten Israel’s wars. Does the Biden administration now really believe that a longer war serves America’s interests? Furthermore, a longer war as the Biden administration appears to unthinkingly implicitly prefer means prolonged civilian suffering in Gaza. The Biden administration needs to rethink its policy in favor of a war which is as short and intensive as possible to achieve total victory over terrorism in Gaza while minimizing collateral damage and the temporal duration of civilian suffering, this is the American interest.
