The Evacuation of Rafah

The US has long objected to Israeli plans for the evacuation of civilians from Rafah, including describing some as ”unviable”. In order to act constructively and maintain influence over the Israeli decision-making process, the US government should instead come up with its own ”viable” plan for the evacuation of civilians from Rafah and propose this to the Israelis. Whether the American side will propose its own evacuation plan will be an important test whether the American side is serious or whether as so many times before since 1973 they simply want to prevent Israeli victory.
