“They shall neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mount, for the land shall be full of knowledge of the Lord as water covers the sea bed.”
Isaiah 11:9
The historical rediscovery of Median Judaism and the common Sumerian origin of Judaism and Mandaeism will revolutionize the understanding of Judaism and Jewish history. Biblical archeology has only focused on the land of Israel and will in contrast need to take into account archeological discoveries from across the Middle East. What will be the consequences for Judaism? Will Judaism openly return to Sumerian ritual sex? How will Jewish religious practice be re-understood in light of its Sumerian origins? What will be the consequences of Judaism being a large family of seemingly distinct religions? How will Judaism be re-understood in terms of intra-Jewish comparative religion? How will different forms of Judaism influence each other in Israel once most Median Jews have immigrated to Israel? This is difficult to predict but the impact on Israeli society will no doubt be immense.
