Take Anti-Zionism Seriously

There is a fundamental problem with two-state messianism and that is that it does not take the Anti-Zionism of the Palestinian Authority seriously. Why are Palestinian Authority schools teaching Palestinian children about ostensible “Jewish conspiracies”? Why are they taught that the Jews have no history in Israel? Why are they taught that the destruction of Israel is inevitable? The simple answer is that the PLO was established to destroy Israel and that is what Anti-Zionism is about. Believers in the two-state illusion refuse to see that sincere support for a two-state solution is entirely incompatible with Anti-Zionism just as it is incompatible with flooding Israel with millions of Anti-Zionists. Anti-Zionism is a form of Anti-Semitism and just as there were those who refused to understand the severity of Nazi Anti-Semitism are there those who refuse to understand the equally eliminationist nature of Palestinist Anti-Zionism. An Anti-Zionist who professes support for a two-state solution is simply not sincere! He is fooling you! What he means is that he supports a transitional two-state solution on the road to the undoing of the Jewish state. It is important to emphasize that Anti-Zionism is indeed a form of Anti-Semitism according to the IHRA definition of Anti-Semitism. Tolerating Anti-Semitism is as dangerous as appeasing Anti-Semites.
