NATO is not a US Interest

The US should give the European Union an harsh ultimatum. Replace national militaries with a unified European military before the US withdraws from NATO in a few years time. There was a time when NATO well served American interests but this is longer so. Instead, NATO has become a parasitic burden that if the US does not act now will draw the US into a completely unnecessary WWIII with Russia and only so because of current European military weakness.
