Saving the Masalit People

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) perpetrates genocide through repeated massacres against the Masalit people in West Darfur, Sudan. People of conscience everywhere must rise to action and indeed affirm that Black lives matter. Nations that do care about the lives of Black Africans (most people obviously do not) could send forces to protect the Masalit. Another way to help is to assist the Sudanese army with modern equipment with the understanding that it be used also for protecting the Masalit but importantly this can play a crucial role in the the Sudanese Army defeating the RSF and thus ending the genocide. Another way to help would be to arm Chad (which has many Masalit citizens of its own) to intervene militarily to protect the Masalit people near the border with Chad. The US under its current president probably does not have appetite for humanitarian intervention, but the EU and the AU are also perfectly able to do carry out humanitarian intervention.
