Remove MENA Category

The intention behind the 2024 Biden administration decision to officially categorize Americans from the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA) as a distinct statistical category separate from ”whites” was antisemitic in intention. The decision was the result of extensive pressure on the Biden administration by the Islamist lobby such as the Muslim Brotherhood outfit CAIR (Council for American Islamic Relations). Antisemites have long endeavored to stigmatize Ashkenazi Jews as ”Europeans” (Ashkenazi Jews are Middle Eastern – European genetic hybrids being matrilineally European and patrilineally Middle Eastern). This despite the fact that most Ashkenazi Jews are not citizens or residents of any European nation. The motivation behind the pressure by the Islamist lobby is not only antisemitic, it is an apparent attempt to label mostly light skinned Arabs as ”colored” and Israelis as ”white supremacists”. The historical inspiration for this comes from the former Apartheid South Africa where Oriental Jews and Arabs were officially classified as ”colored”. It is certainly not in the interest of the United States to give in to the Islamist lobby or in any way to promote nefariously intended racialization and stigmatization of Jews, an inherently antisemitic endeavor. The Trump administration would be particularly well-advised to roll back this extremely misguided Biden-era reform.
