There is a growing view in Europe among leaders and diplomats, particularly in France that Israel has become too strong and victorious and ”must be put in its proper place”, meaning the weak and dead Jews rather than free and strong and in pursuit of joint American-Israeli interests. Europeans should be told in no uncertain terms that Europeans are expected not to harm American interests if they wish to live under American protection. Rather, they should be expected to follow the Israeli example of learning to make sure that their own foreign policy optimally aligns with the American one. Europeans weakening and harming Israel is certainly contrary to vital American interests in the Middle East but this should apply worldwide among American allies.
