Israel is under global pressure to prematurely agree to the creation of a Palestinian state even without deradicalization of Palestinian society and without defensible borders for Israel. What scenario would inevitably play out? Hamas would take over Judea and Samaria since there is no chance for survival of the Abbas regime without the Israeli military presence in Judea and Samaria. Hamas truly represents the Palestinian population in Judea and Samaria and Abbas does not represent anyone. Hamas would turn Judea and Samaria into one large Gaza. Everyone in the international community (except the US) would blame Israel for everything. There would be a forever war with disastrous humanitarian conditions in Judea and Samaria until the population is allowed exit to a third country. Certainly, such destabilization is not in the interest of the United States and President Donald J. Trump needs to speak out publicly and state that Palestinian statehood is off the table until Palestinian society is deradicalized and recognizes that genuine peace requires defensible borders for Israel, meaning that Israel retains all Israeli indigenous communities in Judea and Samaria and a united Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty. It is importantly in the interest of the US and regional stability, that the great champion of peace, President Donald J. Trump speaks out and publicly tells the world that Palestinian statehood is off the table until there is a lasting shift of paradigm in Palestinian society.
