The term antisemitism has two valid meanings. The history of Jew-hatred exhibits three historical stages: 1) The first is Anti-Judaism which targeted Jews because of their religion and so Jews who fully opted out of Judaism also became exempt from Anti-Judaism. 2) The second is antisemitism in the narrow sense which targeted Jews because of their Middle Eastern origins, perceived evolutionary psychology and economic and cultural role in modernity. 3) The third is Anti-Zionism which seeks the destruction of the Jewish state and engages in structural discrimination against Israel and Jews as well as denies Jewish history. Anti-Zionism was mostly crafted by Nazi German propagandists who were brought to and recruited by the Soviet Union after the defeat of Nazi Germany. One prominent Anti-Zionist conspiracy theory in the Muslim world is the Soviet propaganda notion that the American superpower is a global Jewish conspiracy. Propaganda notions that Israel practices apartheid and genocide were all crafted decades ago in Moscow.
However, the term antisemitism is most commonly used in a broad sense of Jew-hatred generally. This is confusing to most people who tend to only be aware of the second stage of Jew-hatred. What is the solution? Use the term antisemitism only for the second stage and come up with a new term for Jew-hatred generally such as e.g. Antivrism which importantly would not be an etymological misnomer.
Anti-Zionism is the most common form of contemporary Jew-hatred globally and is importantly incompatible with advocacy for a two-state solution. Mahmoud Abbas the tyrant claims that the two are compatible which is not entirely surprising considering his Soviet Ph.D. which both denied the Holocaust and blamed the Jews for the Holocaust. Either you believe in a Jewish state and an Arab state side-by-side or or you really wish to dismantle the Jewish state and flood it with millions of Anti-Zionist descendants of Palestinian refugees and then merge it with the Arab state. Mahmoud Abbas and other Anti-Zionist bigots really must not be allowed to get away with this fraud. Therefore, unless Ramallah fights and delegitimizes Anti-Zionism and all three forms of Jew-hatred in Palestinian society he is absolutely, yes ineligible for statehood. If you sincerely believe in a two-state solution with an Arab state and a Jewish state you cannot simultaneously argue for the destruction of the Jewish state.
