The Twenty Point Peace Plan put Champion of Peace, USA President Donald J. Trump firmly behind Israel’s position of Strategic Victory in Gaza and it worked. The US-Israel special relationship is stronger than ever and crucially more effective than ever before. Although pundits in the media falsely and consistently claim that President Trump’s plan is the result on Trump’s alleged pressure on Israel rather than dialogue between President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, it is clear that the president has thrown his political weight behind Israel’s Victory Strategy in the region. Israel is America’s most important ally, no other ally contributes as much to America’s security, defense and intelligence as does Israel.
However, implementing in full the 20-point plan requires strategic and temporal American resilience in the years to come. Reforming the Palestinian Authority and de-radicalizing Palestinian society is not done overnight as indeed Rome was not built in a day. Making peace with Israel requires euthanizing: 1) Anti-Zionism and all other forms of antisemitism in Palestinian society (peace does not require Palestinians to love Zionism but to accept it as a fact of life in the region), 2) the Palestinian demand for descendants of Palestinian refugees to immigrate to Israel rather than to a future de-radicalized Palestinian state and 3) the demand for transferring Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria to pre-1967 Israel – as perpetual peace requires defensible borders for Israel. Short of that there can and will be no Palestinian state of any kind, shape or form. Only Israel’s Great Ally President Donald J. Trump is able to help bring about the euthanasia of these three evils that are behind all anti-Israel destabilization in the region. This triple ideological euthanasia is what is required for bringing about lasting peace as opposed to further pervasive destabilization that a Palestinian state without reform and de-radicalization is absolutely certain to bring. As killing those three evils are intrinsic requirements for regional stability so is it also a key US national security interest. No half-measures or face-saving measures will do.
Saudi Arabia demanded a pathway to Palestinian statehood as a precondition for normalization with Israel and yes so it was officially delivered in the Trump Twenty Point plan. The era of Abraham Accords 2.0 has officially commenced. As former Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Shamir stated, ”we will first make peace with the Arabs and then with the Palestinians” as reform and deradicalization in Palestinian society will take years and Abraham Accords 2.0 will reinforce that peace will be their only remaining option.
