The Islamist Muslim Brotherhood was founded in Egypt in 1928 by school teacher Hassan al-Banna, a Sufi Muslim, he modeled the organization of the Muslim Brotherhood on that of the hierarchical organization of initiation of the Sufi orders. The Muslim Brotherhood is organized into self-governing national branches, each with its own national political strategy. In non-Muslim countries is the Muslim Brotherhood outwardly organized through multiple front organizations. The real sufi-style organization of the Muslim Brotherhood remains secretive, clandestine and underground. Is there a Muslim Brotherhood Comintern? There most likely is although there are no official records of any public meetings other than an international umbrella organization of Muslim Brotherhood clerics.
The most apt way to describe the contemporary Muslim Brotherhood is however as the long global arm of AKP intelligence in Turkey. Germany has wisely commenced an educational program of training its own German-speaking, non-Islamist imams as opposed to German Muslims relying on Muslim Brotherhood Turkish imams dispatched to Germany by the Turkish Diyanet (Directorate of Religious Affairs) which thus effectively controls Islam in Germany. As the German government obviously recognizes is this truly an intolerable state of affairs.
The hierarchical sufi-style, intelligence-trained organization of the Muslim Brotherhood worldwide is a highly effective political organization and the Muslim Brotherhood is aggressively pursuing political influence in democratic countries such as Sweden and the United States in always using deceptively named front organizations which officially purport to not be affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood. Front organizations of the Muslim Brotherhood claim that it is “Islamophobic” to say that they are part of the Muslim Brotherhood. However, they interestingly also say that it is “Islamophobic” to oppose JIhadism and Islamism.
The Muslim Brotherhood has in the past decade suffered significant setbacks in losing power in Egypt, Sudan, Tunisia and Morocco although it was only fully in control of Sudan where it had imposed its own version of Sharia law. The entrenchment of Muslim Brotherhood power in Turkey however continues as in recent years all critical press voices in Turkey have been silenced by the Muslim Brotherhood AKP regime.
Many Western leaders such as the ruling Social Democratic Party of Sweden are fundamentelly ignorant about the diversity of the religion of Islam and have been fooled by sophisticated Muslim Brotherhood advocacy. Other Western leaders such as the governments of France and Austria now recognize the danger of the totalitarian ideology of Islamism.
The Muslim Brotherhood is the world’s largest, best organized, best trained, most sophisticated and most dangerous of all the contemporary Islamist organizations worldwide. As the long arm of the Crypto-Islamist AKP regime in Ankara is it a global threat primarily to Muslim countries but also significantly to democracies around the world. The Muslim Brotherhood needs to be banned worldwide under law as a foreign intelligence outfit and an illegal totalitarian organization.
