Ghulat are not Islam

Ghulat (Arabic meaning ‘extremists’) is a term which today applies to most denominations of core Median Judaism. “Ghulat” refers to “Shia extremism” but Ghulat beliefs are neither Shia nor Muslim. How is it “Muslim” for example to believe that Ali (the cousin and son-in-law of Muhammad) is God or that God consist of a “Trinity” of Muhammad, Ali and the law? The notion of the trinity is of course a leftover from the period of Christian religious imperialism in the Middle East when Median Judaism was syncretic with Christianity. So called “Shia extremism” is neither Shia nor Muslim. The reason why the top poskim (rabbinic decisors) still recognize core Median Jewry as halakhically Jewish is that its pseudo-Islamic syncretism is not Islamic, in fact core Median Jewry is not Muslim at all. After many centuries of oppression by political Islam will core Median Jewry be most happy to discard their superfical Islamic veneers when their clerical hierarchies tell them to do so.
