The elected Jordanian government officially claims that there is no alternative to establishing a Palestinian state despite this being entirely unfeasible. However, the real decision-making in Jordan lies with the monarchy and there is no doubt that the Jordanian monarchy would be extremely happy to annex Gaza which would give Jordan a coastline along the Mediterranean Sea. This is extremely interesting for the Jordanian monarchy considering that Gaza will become a highly attractive coastal region after the Jordanian annexation. The East Bank and Gaza would be linked through an underground road and railroad connection under the Israeli Negev desert. This would be funded by the international community as a peace project. However, Jordanian annexation of Gaza will not be feasible until Israel redeems and enfranches the entire Judea and Samaria and that will not happen until Israel receives about 10 million Median Jewish immigrants. It will likely not take many years until Israel reaches that number after the gates of Median Jewish Aliyah to Israel have been opened. There will be no lack of Median Jews wanting to immigrate to Israel, the challenge rather will be to provide housing, jobs, schools and hospital beds when Israel’s population triples or quadruples in size.
