A Constitution is Required

The coming negotiations cannot merely be about achieving a watered-down version of the judicial overhaul. What is required is nothing less than a constitution that defines Israel as a Jewish and Liberal state coupled with selective authoritarianism. Anything short of that is wholly unacceptable. I would strongly recommend dual negotiation tracks, one official faux track between the government and the opposition and one secretive real one that would only involve the secularist Zionist political parties.
