Too Early to Decide on Post-War Arrangements

The US government has pushed the Israeli government to come up with an arrangement for the post-war situation in Gaza. Let’s look at the different options:

Qatar is an international sponsor of Islamism and Jihadism (including Hamas) and can therefore not be relied on for governing Gaza.

The Palestinian Authority is a terrible option considering that there was rocket fire from Gaza as early as 2001 even when Area A in Gaza was controlled by the PA.

Egypt is unlikely to under any circumstances want to resume their rule over Gaza, but would be a good option.

Saudi-Arabia would be a reasonable option but is unlikely to want to be drawn into the Palestinian problem.

Jordan is the best option because Jordanian annexation would offer a permanent solution and not just a temporary one. However one could certainly imagine Jordanian military rule in the interim years prior to Jordanian annexation following Median Jewish mass Aliyah and Israeli application of indigenous sovereignty over the entire Judea and Samaria. Jordan is certainly the best option, especially since the East Bank could be connected with Gaza through an underground road and railroad link under the Israeli Negev desert. However, the less this is spoken of now, the better. Jordan could only enter the picture once Gaza is completely pacified and this may take years.
