America Must not Allow itself to be Deterred by Iran

Iran’s actions and rhetoric recently have all been about desperately trying to deter America in order to save Hamas from destruction at the hands of Israel. What is of vital strategic importance here is that America (a.k.a. ”the Great Satan”) cannot allow itself to be deterred by the Empire of Terrorism. Washington must deter Tehran, certainly not vice versa. Becoming deterred by Iran is very dangerous for American national security, in fact it is a slippery slope fraught with dangers. It is certainly legitimate to discuss and advise Israel on how to pursue the destruction of Hamas. However, it is distinctly illegitimate to hold back Israel on the Southern Front due to fear of escalation on the Northern Front. This gives Iran a veto over Israeli operations in Gaza and that is dangerous because the next logical step is deterring America by threatening Americans and homeland security. If you give half a finger to an extortionist; he’ll take the entire arm. It is certainly not America’s role to act as an enforcer to the Iranian extortion racket.
