Long before this war I advocated an IAF public war log where for every air strike in Gaza a post with extremely detailed information would be published. Every conceivable information would be provided short of compromising intelligence sources and the IAF itself and its staff. The point is to provide as much information as conceivably possible in real time so as to document to everyone interested that the IAF abides meticulously by the laws of war. The fact is that nearly all IAF strikes are non-lethal because residents are warned to evacuate beforehand. However, when targeting Hamas operatives rather than their facilities only, their neighbors cannot be warned and collateral damage is usually inevitable. This is always done meticulously in accordance with the laws of war, including the principle of proportionality. The Israeli failure to document this publicly is outrageous; has led the US and the ICJ to falsely criticize Israel for ostensibly causing too many civilian casualties. This is quite scandalous. The Israeli Deep State would be particularly well-advised to make sure that such an IDF web site is created as soon as possible, including with detailed retroactive past record since the very beginning of the war.
