It is a key US interest that Israel wins the Gaza war, ends the Hamas terrorist regime, safely relocates those Gazans who wish to relocate to yet other countries, establishes peace in the area and that Israel remains prosperous and strong. This is the way to end the current suffering and insecurity.
The alternative as advocated by the Europeans is to wait for further massacres of Jews as promised by Hamas and further Israeli wars against Hamas in Gaza, in other words forever wars. The current European view advocating defeat for Israel and victory for Hamas is a threat against US interests and the US should respond in kind to this European myopia.
America should tell the Europeans that any European sanctions on Israel such as freezing the EU-Israel association agreement will lead to the US freezing aspects of the American relationship with the European Union such as issuing new Trumpian tariffs on European goods and reevaluating the US commitment to NATO. To do so is to stand up for American interests, including joint American-Israeli interests. The Europeans should be told in no uncertain terms that those who threaten US interests should not count on American commitment.
