How will the Hamas thug leaders react to the international peace plan as drawn up by the Trump administration? Hamas will either reject the plan altogether or demand revisions requiring Israeli capitulation as opposed to Hamas’ complete capitulation as required by the international peace plan as supported by Arab and Muslim nations. Even Fatah (surprise, surprise) claimed to endorse the plan. US president Donald J. Trump has wowed to fully back up Israel in the ensuing last stage of the war in Gaza which will be decisive and consequential. Israel will not be bound by a plan de facto or de jure, rejected by its Jihadist adversary. The war in Gaza will run its course and it won’t be pretty because Israel will win this war no matter what, while fully adhering to the laws of war.
There is however something absolutely essential in the plan; while there will be a military solution to the conflict in Gaza, the diplomatic onus needs to be put on reforms in the PA and deradicalization of Palestinian society throughout Gaza, Judea and Samaria. Without that there simply won’t be any Palestinian statehood of any size, kind, quality, form or shape no matter the volume of European demands for the Jews to commit collective suicide and agree to the perpetration of a second Holocaust by those openly, consistently and regularly declaring that this is indeed THEIR PLAN and have done so for the past century. Israel’s survival is indeed a vital American interest as is peace around the world. However, without comprehensive deradicalization of Palestinian society and comprehensive reforms in the PA, peace between Israel and its Palestinian neighbors will remain as elusive as ever.
