The Russian Dominoes

Russia and China have national strategies that are designed to create world domination for their respective nation. China’s renewal tradition is thousands of years old. For thousands of years have China conquered thinly populated regions and settled them with Han people. This is just the way China has always functioned. This is why China currently is settling Tibet, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang Uyghur with Han people. For China; Russia, along with other barely populated areas around the world, is just another thinly populated frontier area. Russia understands the Chinese threat and responds with its own neo-imperialist strategy. Russia understands that it cannot defend itself against China in another 20 to 30 years from now when the Chinese armed forces are several times larger than the Russian ones. Therefore Russia decided to capture the West – Europe and North America – with its immensely wealthy economies so as to be able to defend itself against China. Rather than meekly being part of a global Chinese domino effect, Russia devised its own dominoes. However, Moscow made the lethal mistake of first attempting to conquer Ukraine when it should rather have attacked the militarily weak EU. Moscow reasoned that once it had annexed Ukraine it would be much stronger demographically and much more able to confront the EU. Rather, the tactical choice of attacking Ukraine first has backfired as it has allowed the EU to engage in military rearmament on a massive scale. However, it is vital to understand that Russia’s imperial Juggernaut is driven by national necessity in the face of China’s neo-imperialist strategy. Russia has merely two choices, capturing NATO countries or aligning with them and since NATO refused to align with Russia 26 years ago, Moscow chose the first option.

The US needs to shift national strategy on Ukraine, not out of care for Ukraine but out of its own national interest and strategic military necessity. Russia has no interest in settling the conflict with Ukraine but is determined to conquer all of Ukraine before taking the next step and conquering the EU. Once Russia has conquered the European Union it will be much more demographically, economically and therefore also much militarily stronger in order so as to conquer Canada, Greenland and the United States of America.

Washington needs to recognize that Ukraine’s internationally recognized eastern borders are America’s frontier. Russia must be resoundingly defeated or else the Russian dominoes will fall on each other, first Ukraine, then the EU and finally Greenland, Canada and the USA. US diplomacy must shift focus from appeasement that not even Moscow is interested in to constructively engaging Russia on the issue of militarily containing and encircling China. Why so? Because Russia is failing in Ukraine and may fail in Europe as well considering the pace of European rearmament. Moscow’s strategy is strategically sound in its own right but has so far failed because the moment of surprise has been lost as its military strategy of conquering NATO countries has been exposed and compromised. This is not merely a European issue but very much an American national security interest of the first order. If President Trump is serious about stopping WWIII – and he should be – then he must first stop Russia in Ukraine. Moscow must be defeated and forced to realign with NATO countries against China. This is an American national interest second to none. America must stop Russia and kick out Russia from Ukraine and it must do so as soon as possible. The way to do so can be discussed but this is a strategic matter of no choice.
