Don’t Abandon America’s Strategic Interest

Heroic War President Donald J. Trump wisely embarked on the joint American-Israeli campaign against the evil regime of the wicked Ayatollahs. However, to abort the mission early due rising oil prices would be to unwisely prioritize tactics over strategy, it would also be a win for the Mullah strategy of holding world energy markets hostage. The current Iranian regime must fall and be replaced with one that unreservedly accepts all four of President Trump’s demands on Iran. IT IS AN AMERICAN NATIONAL SECURITY INTEREST that the Ayatollah regime is brought down by the peoples of Iran so that Iran causes no further trouble to the outside world, including America. If the regime is not brought down now it will become necessary for Israel to bomb Iran once or twice a year for the foreseeable future. Unless the Mullah regime is brought down, Tehran will continue to destabilize the Middle East and distract America from pivoting to Asia. The current situation offers a unique opportunity to get rid of the Ayatollah regime once and for all and to squander that opportunity would regrettably be to sacrifice American national security on the altar of short-term oil prices and partisan electoral considerations which could be foreseen before the outbreak of the conflict.
