Learning from Israel’s Experience

The international community has already exposed its colors on Israel. When Israel takes risks in the interest of peace and it predictably fails then most of the international community automatically blames Israel and condemns every action it takes to defend itself. So why should Israel ”take risks for peace” when this only leads to aggressive hostility against Israelis on the part of the international community? The bad advisors are always there to subsequently condemn Israel. Yet Israel must not completely rule out a Palestinian state. A Palestinian state would have to be preceded by comprehensive deradicalization of Palestinian political culture and it would be a state-minus, meaning that the Palestinian state should have no means to threaten Israel. Israel would control its air space and electromagnetic spectrum and it should not be allowed to wield a military or station foreign troops on its soil. It would include the three Palestinian regions of Judea and Samaria and the three Palestinian regions of Israel but not any current Jewish or mixed community. The point here is that humans are capable of change. If Palestinians abandon their anti-Jewish ideology then peace is possible. It must be kept in mind that anti-Jewish ideology was the reason political Zionism decided to re-establish a Jewish state in the first place. So why should Jerusalem establish what with utmost certainty can be predicted to be a Hamas-run terror state with anti-Jewish ideology in the heartland of the Land of Israel? We already tried this in Gaza and it led to the October 7, 2023 massacre. As Albert Einstein is reputed to have quipped: ”the definition of insanity is doing the same mistakes all over again and expecting different results”. Yet this is what the international community expects from Israel and Jerusalem knows from bitter experience that most of the international community will not stand with Israel when it all falls apart, on the contrary they will turn against Israel. A Palestinian terror state would be an existential threat against Israel’s very existence and that is why the unrepentant terror-promoter Mahmoud Abbas wants to establish one.
