The coalition Zionist parties gained 40 mandates in the Knesset while the opposition Zionist parties gained 48 mandates in the Knesset. It is true that Netanyahu is a political and rhetorical genius but he also has a deeply flawed personality, not only did he engage in corruption but he is ready to dismantle liberal democracy in favor of an Orban-style form of illiberal government just in order to remain in power. It would be unfair to say that the Haredi mandates are pro-Netanyahu since they are simply in favor of continued Haredi autonomy from Israeli society and Netanyahu remains ready to act as they wish. The fundamental problem with Netanyahu is that he puts his own political survival above the interests of the State of Israel. A normal liberal-democratic politician would resign when a conflict of interest appears since a prime minister is simply a servant of liberal democracy and not the other way around. The Israeli Deep State has a record of deep involvement in Israeli politics and this is the time to engage and instruct, indeed order Agent Netanyahu to retire from politics so that the Likud, Yisrael Beiteinu, Beyachad and Yashar can form a Zionist government of 67 mandates without extremes and which can introduce universal service, bring a constitutional draft to a referendum and engineer a successful and conclusive popular revolution in Iran. Gadi Eisenkot would serve as PM during the first two years and Netanyahu’s successor as head of Likud would serve as as PM during the last two years.
