The Erdogan regime’s arrest of two Israeli bus drivers who are married to each other and who were vacationing in Turkey is an indication of the Erdogan regime’s paranoia about the strategic control the Sabbatean-controlled Derin Devlet deep state domestic intelligence apparatus maintains over the country. The Derin Devlet controls the state, the military and parts of the MIT (National Intelligence Organization) and has completely prevented the ruling Crypto-Islamist AK party (a front organization of the Muslim Brotherhood) from implementing Islamist sharia law in the country. Erdogan is understandably paranoid as the Derin Devlet has controlled the state since the days of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, himself a Sabbatean from Thessaloniki who was educated in a Sabbatean day school in the Ottoman Empire.
Yet the Derin Devlet (which nowadays probably maintains its HQ in Israel) prevents too severe ruptures in Turkey’s relationship with Israel just as the Derin Devlet protects Turkey’s alliance with the West. Two innocent Israel bus drivers who did not know that it is illegal to take pictures of Erdogan’s tasteless palace complex fell victims to the paranoia of the Erdogan regime. The Derin Devlet despite likely being based in Israel remains an independent intelligence agency although probably deeply integrated with the Mossad which is illustrated by the fact that the Derin Devlet did not stop the invasion, occupation and ethnic cleansing by TAF-supported militias of the Kurdish Afrin enclave. This would have been completely prevented had it been up to the Israeli government, yet when Erdogan threatened to invade and occupy the entire NES (North and East Syria) under the administration of the AANES (Administration of North and East Syria) did the Derin Devlet intervene to protect Israeli strategic interests as the AANES unlike the Derin Devlet is most likely an intelligence outfit of the Mossad. Erdogan was only able to occupy Arab border areas and the Kurdish areas under AANES control were protected.
This provides a microcosm of the Mossad-Derin Devlet relationship where the Derin Devlet remains an independent intelligence agency yet apparently is deeply integrated with the Mossad. Stopping the Turkish invasion, occupation and ethnic cleansing of the Afrin Kurdish enclave was an important humanitarian concern but not an Israeli strategic interest so the always cynical Derin Devlet decided not to intervene. However, when Erdogan wanted to conquer Raqqa and ethnically cleanse the main Kurdish areas under the control of the AANES did the Derin Devlet firmly stop this in TAF (Turkish Armed Forces) limiting its military intervention to occupying Arab border areas.
The fact that Sabbateans were originally Rabbinic Jews and the Israeli realization that the Sabbateans remain fully Jewish with the historical rediscovery of core Median Jewry (the Sabbateans are Bektashis, one of eight denominations of core Median Judaism) has no doubt strongly reinforced the Mossad-Derin Devlet relationship. The secular Sabbatean leadership (not to be confused with Sabbatean religious leaders) that controls the Derin Devlet is fighting for the survival of the perhaps 100 000 thousand strong Sabbatean Jewish community in Turkey as Erdogan’s first priority were he to gain full control over the state would be to round up and exterminate the entire Sabbatean community. Does the Derin Devlet controlled leadership of the Sabbatean community seek immigration to Israel? No doubt so since living under the suffocating rule of Mr. Erdogan is unpleasant for any Median Jews in the country. Yet, Mr. Erdogan would no doubt take measures to put severe obstacles in place of Median Jewish mass immigration to Israel once the Israeli government officially declares Israeli recognition of core Median Jewry as Jews.
The problem of course for the Derin Devlet is that any unseating of the Erdogan regime (whether through elections or a military coup) would likely cause Mr. Erdogan to try to ignite a civil war in the country with the goal of perpetrating genocide against first the Sabbateans and then against all other Median Jews in the country. Erdogan’s Anti-Semitic and sectarian hatred against Median Jews in general and against Sabbateans and Alevis in particular makes him want to exterminate all Median Jews in the country and he does not want to help Israel demographically so he will take every measure to prevent Median Jewish mass Aliyah (immigration) to Israel. There may be as many as 25 million Median Jews in Turkey with the vast majority being Alevis although there are no statistics available.
Much is at stake for Israel with the historical rediscovery of core Median Jewry as Mr. Erdogan endeavors to commit a second Holocaust, this time against Median Jewry in Turkey. However, the situation is complicated by Israel not being in full control over its policy towards Median Jewry in Turkey since it is the Derin Devlet which remains in strategic control over Turkey. For the Derin Devlet however is it a matter of self-preservation and survival of the Sabbatean community. Although there is no question that the Derin Devlet supports Sabbatean and other Median Jewish mass Aliyah to Israel, the Derin Devlet is no doubt very careful so as not to in any way indirectly cause harm to the Sabbatean community which Erdogan does not dare to publicly criticize.
The Mossad-Derin Devlet partnership means that the Derin Devlet effectively has a veto over Israel’s policy on Median Jewry in the Middle East. The Mossad is known for its daring operations while the Derin Devlet is conservative and careful not to rock the boat unnecessarily.
The Derin Devlet is however entirely unlikely to intervene in the case of the two innocent Israeli bus drivers since this is a purely humanitarian issue and not an Israeli strategic interest and the two are sadly likely to remain behind bars in Erdogan’s prison state.
