Time for Coup de Grâce

There are women-led protests in cities throughout Iran with the people demanding the downfall of the mullahcracy. The regime is rotten to the core with little domestic support and now would be an opportune time to press for regime change. Unfortunately, that is not the policy of the Biden administration despite this being supremely in the national interest of the United States of America. No other regime poses a threat against the American homeland the way Tehran does and the US government would be particularly well-advised to reevaluate its negative attitude towards regime change policies with respect to Iran. In fact, what we are seeing appears to be a unique opportunity for securely bringing down the regime. The Biden administration should urgently consider imposing a no-fly zone on Iran with air support to insurgents in order to prop up the revolution and ensure its success. This should include bombing police stations and IRGC and Basij facilities. Statesmanship is very much about seizing opportunities when they appear and here there is evidently an opportunity for America to promote, protect and enhance its vital national security interests.
