Recently on the same day, North and East Syria (NES) was attacked from two directions. In the Deir ez-Zor region was the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) attacked by pro-regime tribal forces and on the very same day was the SDF attacked in the Manbij region by Islamist militia forces supported by the AKP regime. The US provided air support to the SDF in the Deir ez-Zor region while Russia provided air support to the SDF in the Manbij region. Thus Damascus and Ankara were clearly coordinated as this was surely no coincidence. Turkey and Syria tried to frighten the Syrian Kurds into not coordinating with Israel in the Northern War. The message was crystal clear; if you coordinate, then we’ll coordinate. Of course, this is an empty threat in the sense that Erdogan does not have the real authority to order an invasion of NES as the Sabbatean-controlled Derin Devlet deep state domestic intelligence apparatus would block it even if of course Erdogan himself intensely would like to invade Syria. However, AANES (Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria) does not appear particularly frightened, especially as it was backed up by two rival great powers. An important conclusion from the fact that Damascus and Moscow found themselves on different sides on this day of warfare however, is that Moscow intends to be neutral in the Northern War.
