There is a so-called “axis of resistance” in the northern Levant which would be better described as an “axis of genocide” because that is their real purpose, namely as the leaders the Islamic Republic of Iran say “the annihilation of Israel”. These words are carefully chosen and the word “annihilation” is quite unmistakable indeed. Hezbollah is the spearhead of the Axis of Genocide but we must not forget the spear itself which is composed of the Syrian military, the Lebanese military, the Iranian forces in Syria and the Iranian-sponsored militias in Syria. Together do they constitute the the Axis of Genocide.
Destroying Hezbollah is in fact impossible without destroying the rest of the axis. Why is this so? Destroying Hezbollah requires the IDF to occupy Lebanon for probably several months in order to destroy its tunnel system, missile stockpile and root out Hezbollah itself. This will likely mean war with the LAF (Lebanese Armed Forces) which will be defeated on the battlefield by the IDF. Hezbollah has a significant presence in Syria. This requires liberating Syria as well and defeating the SAA (Syrian Arab Army).
The Axis of Genocide is a hydra and cutting off one head is not enough because further heads need to be cut off due to the well-known fact that any hydra has multiple heads. Thankfully Israel has a capable partner in the AANES (Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria) and its army SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) and is therefore capable of imposing a new map on the northern Levant in the stead of the present former colonial map as drawn up by France and the United Kingdom a century ago.
Israeli diplomats and TEVEL envoys need to urgently embark on a discreet diplomatic campaign to build global understanding for a joint IDF-SDF war to liberate Syria and Lebanon from the Axis of Genocide whose sprearhead Hezbollah seeks to destroy Tel Aviv and eventually the entire Israel. Hezbollah does not yet have the capacity to do so but already has a stockpile of no less than 150 000 missiles. Israel cannot wait with eliminating the Axis of Genocide until Hezbollah has attained the capacity to level the city of Tel Aviv to the ground. In fact, the longer Israel waits the higher the price will be in Israeli civilian lives.
After Israel destroys the Iranian nuclear weapons program will Hezbollah on Iran’s command unleash massive barrages of tens of thousands of missiles against Tel Aviv and other Israeli cities. The IDF will invade Lebanon from the south and the SDF will invade Ba’ath-controlled parts of Syria from the north with Israeli air support. Israel will take control over the entire Lebanon and will subsequently also liberate the Median Jewish (Druze and Alawite) regions of Syria. The SDF will liberate all of Ba’ath -controlled Syria with Israeli air support.
Israel will set up an Aramean Christian state in parts of present Lebanon as the successor state to Lebanon. Israel will annex the Median Jewish regions of Syria and Lebanon. The new PYD (Democratic Union Party) government in Damascus will annex the remainder of Lebanon. All annexations and border changes will take place as part of a trilateral international treaty between Jerusalem and the new governments in Beirut and Damascus.
Israel needs to already now lobby for international recognition for the new borders and make the case that this will build the foundations for peace for the generations. Waiting in slaying the hydra will in contrast only make things worse. Unfortunately are there no strategic military alternatives to a joint IDF-SDF operation as non-strategic responses will inevitably cause the Axis of Genocide to prevail as time is on Hezbollah’s side as it builds up its capacity to cause ever more harm to the city of Tel Aviv and to Israel as a whole.
How long will the war take? It may take several months but it may be much shorter as depending on the pace of the a southward advancement of the SDF in western Syria with Israeli air support and this thus also determines the timing when SDF can take over much of Lebanon and hence finish the job of eradicating Hezbollah although of course a Hezbollah Jihadist insurgency will continue for many years to come just like like the ongoing ISIL Jihadist insurgency. The SDF knows however how to battle Jihadist insurgencies and very successfully so.
