What is the relationship between the Mossad and the Sabbatean-controlled Derin Devlet, Turkey’s Deep State domestic intelligence apparatus? The way the Derin Devlet held back the TAF (Turkish Armed Forces) in 2019 when Erdogan had planned to occupy and ethnically cleanse Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) and march towards Raqqa, the major city in the AANES (Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria) illustrates that the Derin Devlet still has significant influence over the Turkish military which apparently does not necessarily obey orders by Erdogan. The tragedy of the ethnic cleansing of the Kurdish enclave of Afrin in northwestern Syria was not repeated and apparently so due to Israel interceding with the Derin Devlet on behalf of the Israeli-allied AANES. Turkey only occupied Arab border areas and not Kurdish border areas and this was apparently entirely due to the still significant influence of the Derin Devlet over the TAF.
Turkey was the first nominally Muslim country to recognize Israel already in 1949 and this was during a time when Turkey was fully under indirect Sabbatean rule through the Derin Devlet. While Israel is aligned with the Kurds in Syria, Iraq and Iran has Israel avoided aligning with the Kurds in Turkey and apparently due to the sensitivities of its relations with the Derin Devlet even though Erdogan openly supports Hamas. It is unknown for how long the TEVEL, the Political Action and Liaison Department, i.e. the political and diplomatic arm of the Mossad has maintained direct diplomatic relations with the Sabbatean-controlled Derin Devlet. It is also unknown how far-reaching the cooperation and intelligence integration is between the Mossad and the Derin Devlet. Israel shares a critical interest with the Derin Devlet in limiting the power of the AKP in Turkey and so the interests of Israel and the Derin Devlet significantly overlap. However, the 2019 coordination on AANES suggests a deep intelligence integration between the Derin Devlet and the Mossad.
