Palestinian nationalism is thoroughly based on Anti-Zionism, the third stage of Anti-Jewish bigotry with the earlier stages being Anti-Judaism and Anti-Semitism (in the narrow sense). Palestinian nationalism systematically racializes Jews in terms of all three stages of Anti-Semitism in the broader sense. Palestinian nationalism is thus primarily a form of racism and is as such illegitimate. This is not to suggest that non-racist Palestinian nationalism could not exist and as such would it be politicallt legitimate if it existed but it does not. Palestinian nationalism is about negating everything about the Jews, their history, their geography and their Weltanschauung. It is Anti-Semitism incarnate. None of this is rational, as all Anti-Semitism is it unreason itself. The IHRA definition of Anti-Semitism as formally endorsed by the European Union and the majority of liberal democracies around the world defines Anti-Zionism as a form of Anti-Semitism:
“Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavor.”

What is the origin of this ideology? Palestinian nationalism emerged from Arabist imperialism, an ideology created by local Christian intellectuals who were influenced by the European idea that the peoples south and east of the Mediterranean sea were all “Arabs” dispite speaking different Semitic languages clearly distinctive from the dead Arabic literary language, including the many distinctive Judeo-Arabic languages. This is similar to the Chinese imperialist idea of the diverse Sinitic languages ostensibly being “one language”. The Anti-Semitism of Palestinian nationalism is mostly of Eurean origin and is based on xenophobic opposition to Jewish immigration. Palestinian nationalism is a mixture of Muslim Anti-Judaism, European Anti-Semitism and Soviet Anti-Zionism.
Palestinian nationalism always demanded an end to Jewish immigration and still do so. Palestinian nationalists until 1947 had the opportunity to accept Jewish immigration of indigenous Levantines and coexist with the Jews throughout the land. Six million Jews were murdered as a direct consequence of being denied a safe haven in the land of Israel by the British authorities under heavy Palestinian and Arab pressure. Palestinian nationalists chose to launch the 1947 genocidal war with the intention of removing the Jewish demographic presence from the land of Israel and since there was nowhere but the sea to expel the Jews did they intend to commit genocide in seeking to perpetrate a Second Holocaust. The Zionists expelled and encouraged the flight of communities that had aligned themselves with this irrational genocidal war while those who declared themselves neutral or who aligned with the Jews were allowed to remain and became Israeli citizens with full civil rights. That war was entirely irrational and the consequences for the Palestinians were of course tragic but unavoidable if the Jews were to avoid suffering the fate of a Second Holocaust. One percent of the Jewish population, 6 000 people died during Israel’s War of Independence which included the invasion by Egypt, Iraq, Transjordan and Syria after Israel declared its independence on May 14, 1948 and as intended in order to complete the genocidal plan and remove the Jewish population from the land of Israel.
Palestinian nationalism is as if frozen in time in 1947 in demanding return to the pre-1947 status quo ante bellum and refusing to cede that demand which is clearly inconsistent with the officially professed support of the Palestinian Authority for a particular version of the two-state solution, i.e. a demand for a return to the pre-1967 status quo ante bellum. Of course, these demands have no connection with reality and have no chance of being realized since they require that Israel commits national suicide and no independent nation can be pressured into doing so.
The tactics of Palestinian nationalism has always been terrorism in systematically murdering innocent Jewish civilians with genocidal intent. There is no possibility of Jews living as a minority in a Palestinian state whether in Judea/Samaria and Gaza or encompassing the entire land of Israel since the outcome inevitably would be genocidal. The West Bank of course was conquered by Israel in one of the genocidal onslaughts on Israel and the PLO proudly declared in 1967 that the goal of the war was genocide.
The most recent tactic is to deceptively present this genocidal movement as a form of “civil rights activism” although BDS activists of course are in no position to offer Jews equal citizenship the way Palestinian-Israelis enjoy equal citizenship in Israel. This is not the Palestinian consensus which is that all Jews who have arrived since the inception of Zionism in the 1880s have to be removed from the land and since there is nowhere to deport the Jews does this in practice mean genocide.
Is this a rational movement? Unless one argues that genocide is a form of realpolitik is there nothing rational about Palestinian nationalism. On the contrary, systematic incitement to terrorism and the constant murder of Jewish civilians have forced Israel to take counter-measures in defending itself with distinctly negative humanitarian consequences for the Palestinians. Of course there is no war without negative humanitarian consequences, including in this case unintentional collateral damage caused by Israel. There is simply nothing rational about the eternal Palestinian war to destroy Israel because the consequences suffered by the Palestinians since 1947 are most negative indeed, yet they refuse to learn from their mistakes and continue based on the determinist belief that God is on their side and will eventually defeat the wicked Jews.
Of course, the Palestinian movement is not the only irrational actor in Islamdom although most governments of Islamdom are perfectly rational. There is no way to appease irrational actors to act rationally. The only way Jews and Palestinians can peacefully coexist with equal rights in the land of Israel is in a Jewish state. Median Jewish Aliyah (immigration) to Israel in the tens of millions will enable Israel to redeem and enfranchise the entire Judea and Samaria which means that the number of Palestinian-Israelis will double to 4 million but will remain a minority due to Israel quadrupling or quintupling its population with Median Jewish immigrants and Jordan subsequently annexing Gaza. This will put an end to this madness.
