The threat of Chinese territorial expansion in the Central Asian and Asia-Pacific regions should prompt the US government to take the initiative to found two new US-led defense alliances in Asia as the US should strive to encircle China in order to contain it and deter it from territorial expansion. The US needs to align with Central Asian states in order to protect them from potential Chinese aggression. A new US-led Central Asian defense alliance of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan would protect those nations from China, Iran and Russia. A new US-led defense alliance that would include all countries (except China) in the Asia-Pacific region as well as Mongolia needs to be created as well. If Taiwan was included in the Asia-Pacific defense alliance, then that would serve as a very effective deterrent to Chinese aggression against Taiwan.
