President Joe Biden is on the record of admitting that he is afraid of WWIII with Russia. This is just one more example in a long line of statements by the Biden administration (usually not by President Biden himself) that reinforce the international impression of the Biden administration as “weak”. For an American president to publicly state that he won’t deploy US troops due to fears of war is unprecedented and a new low even for the Biden administration. By effectively ceding democratic Ukraine to autocratic Russia is America not only shamefully sacrificing a democratic ally but NATO is losing a vast buffer zone that will instead no doubt later be used as a platform to launch a Russian frontal assault on NATO allies in Central Europe. The way to prevent WWIII in Europe is certainly not to publicly admit being afraid of war but rather to present robust deterrence and fearless preparedness at any time to defend liberty. An America that is afraid of WWIII will get exactly that.
