Jordan’s Anti-Israel Incitement is a Sign of Weakness

Why is Jordan inciting against Israel and staying out of the Negev Forum? It is not that King Abdullah has personally turned particularly anti-Israel or somehow become a pro-Palestinian activist. Rather, this is a real sign of weakness of the Hashemite regime. In the past were the Hashemites not afraid to be open about their close security ties with Israel, but now they feel that they must publicly distance themselves from Israel in order to stay in power. This is a serious sign of weakness and of a potential downfall of the monarchy in Jordan. If that were to happen will Israel find Iran and the Muslim Brotherhood on its eastern borders.
