There are certain issues regarding Iran where the US and Israel do not show each other their respective cards. That may likely include the point when they consider it necessary to strike the Iranian nuclear program. They should show each other their cards. Washington and Jerusalem is like a couple who are lying to each other. They should play the game of ”if I show you mine, you’ll show me yours”. This must precede deciding on joint military planning.
America and Israel are radically interdependent on each other as each other’s most important ally. Israel needs to consider that close to half the Jewish people is existentially threatened due to being citizens and residents of the United States of America. Iran’s nefarious plans for attacking major American cities with biological weapons is also a threat against the Jewish people and that of course is how it is intended since Iranian leaders and other Islamist thinkers regard the American superpower as constituting a global Jewish conspiracy to destroy Islam.
It is therefore a Jewish and Israeli interest that America participates in the neutralization of the Iranian nuclear weapons program since this will boost the US deterrence posture as there is nothing more dangerous in the Mideast than looking weak. For the same reason it is strongly desirable that the USAF participates in the Northern War on Israel’s side. Yes, Jerusalem is suspicious of Washington for understandable historical reasons and so it simply should ask from the Americans that joint military planning is done on Israel’s terms.
