The Saudi aerial war on the Houthis in Yemen since 2015 has proven unsuccessful in ousting the Houthis from power in Sanaa. Considering the growing Houthi missile threat as built up by Iran that threatens Saudi Arabia, Riyadh needs to seriously consider implementing an all-out Saudi invasion of Houthi-held areas in Yemen before the Houthi threat turns into a second Hezbollah. Israel will pay a most severe price in the next war due to for years having deferred destroying Hezbollah and so Saudi Arabia would be ill-advised to emulate that model. Of course the Saudi fear is that Yemen will turn into a second Afghanistan, yet if Riyadh does not destroy the Houthis could the conflict spread to Zaydi areas in southwestern Saudi Arabia. There is no choice but to prevail in the war against Iran and its proxies.
