Let’s Hasten Russia’s Defeat

There is no reason to needlessly prolong this tragic war. The war in Ukraine will end with Ukraine retaking all occupied territories no matter how long it takes. The other possible outcome, namely that Russia conquers the entire Ukraine is simply no longer feasible. So why should it take a long time for Ukraine to liberate its occupied territories? There is no reason why it should. Considering the toll the war takes on the global economy there is every reason to invest in a Ukrainian victory ASAP and that certainly includes provision of modern fighter aircraft, including F-16s from the United States and other nations. Furthermore, it makes strategic sense from the perspective of the United States and other NATO members to help crush the Russian war machine as soon as conceivably possible so as to push a defeated Russia into the American alliance system in search of protection from Chinese expansionism and thus will China be encircled and contained. This requires a far larger investment in military aid to Ukraine and an acknowledgement that the Ukrainians are fighting our war and are helping us avoid WWIII in Europe and the MENA region and a global Chinese WWIV. Furthermore, this is an urgent humanitarian matter, the sooner this war ends, the less human suffering there will therefore also be.
