The US Needs a Strategy for Preventing an Iranian Land Invasion Through Iraq

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani yesterday warned against Iran using Iraq as a springboard to invade Jordan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The Iraqi parliament last year passed a law proscribing any contacts with Israeli citizens and Israel bodies or visiting Israel and required capital punishment or life in prison for offenders. Not only is a MENA defense alliance to the inclusion of the US and Israel absolutely needed for Arab countries in the face of the Iranian threat, the new Russo-Iranian Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and the planned WWIII; but Iraqi political parties need to urgently reconsider their attitude towards Israel. US diplomats should use their diplomatic immunity to lobby Iraqi politicians to repeal that infamous law, embrace normalization with Israel and prepare Iraq to join a MENA defense alliance. Indeed, it is crucial that Iran is stopped already at the Iraqi border once the westward Great Invasion commences. Because the reality is that Iran’s great westward invasion is planned to happen even if the Russian army is crushed in Ukraine and the new Molotov-Ribbentrop pact rendered moot by a defeated Russia joining the global American alliance system in order to defend Siberia from China. Iran is making comprehensive preparations for major war and clearly so must Arab nations and that will only be effective through a MENA defense alliance that also includes Israel and the United States.
