The Original Sin of the Iran Conflict

The war on Iran was originally intended to facilitate a revolution in Iran. This is well documented in the Trump speech on the eve of the war. Once this goal was abandoned everything turned apart and the war turned into a major error from both America and Israel’s perspective. The war was originally both morally and geopolitically justified but no longer so. VP Vance negotiated and signed a capitulation agreement with Tehran and this became inevitable once the original war goal was abandoned due to Iran’s Hormuz leverage over the world economy. Iran is not going to abandon its Hormuz card, rather it will use it indefinitely to blackmail the international community while continuing to destabilize the Gulf region and other parts of the Arab world. There is no going back. The war turned into a major mistake and cannot be undone because President Trump abandoned the original strategy of the war which could have turned it into a major success.
