There are more and more diplomatically influential Westerners who behind the political curtains make the case that Ukraine will need to make territorial concessions to Russia in order to attain peace. This completely misunderstands the conflict which is a zero-sum game where both parties to the conflict want the entire Ukraine and are completely unwilling to territorially compromise and for good reasons. Moscow keenly understands that China in the long term intends to swallow Siberia and the rest of Russia and so Moscow intends to become a superpower by conquering Europe in order to become able to defend Siberia. What is Russia’s interest in Donbas and Crimea? Russia is a vast country and Donbas and Crimea are as important to Russia as South Ossetia and Abkhazia. So the question is why were South Ossetia and Abkhazia conquered from Georgia and Donbas and Crimea conquered from Ukraine, it is not as if Russia as the largest country in the world lacks territory? All four territories were simply conquered in order to manufacture territorial disputes so as to prevent NATO membership for Georgia and Ukraine. Why did Russia invade Ukraine a second time? This is just a prelude and a preparation for an invasion of the European Union. Russian stooges in the West are trying to feed the notion that Ukraine should appease Russia. Why are they directed to disseminate this insidious propaganda? Because Russia will be defeated in Ukraine if Kyiv is provided with sufficient weaponry and if Russia is defeated in Ukraine will Moscow have to reassess its entire plan to conquer Europe and instead find other ways to counter China in collaboration with other concerned nations. Defeating Russia in Ukraine is thus the way to avoid war between NATO and Russia. Of course Russia would want divisions between Western powers and between NATO and Ukraine and for Kyiv to be pressured to make territorial concessions to Moscow rather than being sufficiently armed. Europe must focus on both rearmament and on arming Ukraine, that is the right policy for avoiding war with Russia.
