Will Khamenei Order Nasrallah to Attack?

The Israeli defense establishment is convinced that Hezbollah is planning to take advantage of Israel’s perceived ”weakness” to attack Israel in Tehran hence believing that Israel will want to limit the conflict rather than widen it. Israel’s defense minister Yoav Gallant has warned that this is not the case, that Iran will face a Northern War, the neutralization of the Iranian nuclear weapons program and the message to Tehran is that the Iranian Axis is playing with fire. It could also be argued that Israeli politicians are themselves playing with fire in causing the enemy to attack in the absence of a consensual agreement on the judicial overhaul. This is the height of irresponsibility since it removes the element of surprise which is crucial when taking out the the Iranian nuclear weapons program.  It could thus be argued that it is highly advantageous for Iran to choose the timing of the wider regional conflict between Israel and the Iranian Axis and it is thus not surprising that this worries the Israeli defense establishment.
