American Interests Require Regime Change in Iran

First, it is not possible to reach an agreement with Iran on ending their nuclear weapons program, including uranium enrichment, because Iran is a nuclear program with a country and under no circumstances would agree to such an accord. Second, even if they were to conclude an agreement (which they would not) they would not abide by it (and therefore could not be trusted to abide), such as running a secretive nuclear program by the side. This is the double conundrum facing the United States. At the same time President Trump is absolutely right that the Islamic Republic of Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons, as he was correct in pointing out they would use them if they had them. Rather than running longterm trial and error (and failing) in seeking to reach an elusive agreement through military or economic pressure, the Trump administration needs to internalize that there are no shortcuts on the Iranian nuclear issue and that at the end of the day American interests require regime change in Iran because there is no other viable option in terms of protecting American national security. The Islamist regime is counting on there being a pliable Democratic administration in the future that will not prevent Iranian nuclear breakout much like President Obama effectively allowed North Korea to develop nuclear weapons. President Trump needs to cut the Gordian knot and actively promote the inevitable which is regime change through a popular revolution.
