Lebanon under Iranian control is turning increasingly dystopian. The ruling elite refuses to reform the economy and the population is sinking ever deeper into economic misery. The country has been taken over by Hezbollah, the world’s largest terrorist organization and its political system is completely dysfunctional.
Lebanese leaders are well aware of Lebanon’s approaching demise as Hezbollah prepares for an all-out attack against Israeli cities by unleashing in as short a time as possible all of Hezbollah’s rockets and missiles, some of them equipped with chemical warheads. This is anticipated to take place in response to the joint Israeli-American destruction of the Iranian nuclear weapons program. Hezbollah has forces spread out throughout Lebanon and Syria and in order to destroy this major terrorist organization will it be necessary to defeat its patrons as well, namely the LAF (Lebanese Armed Forces) and the SAA (Syrian Arab Army) as well as Iranian military forces and pro-Iranian militias in Syria. Israel will establish an Aramean Christian state (Aram), annex Median Jewish (Alawite and Druze) regions of Syria and Lebanon and subsequently hand over most of Syria and the remainder of Lebanon to the control of the SDF (Syrian Democratic Forces) of the AANES (Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria).
Lebanon will be partitioned between Aram, Israel and Syria and few will mourn the dysfunctional Lebanese state. Lebanon has effectively become a failed state and has bizarrely refused to resist its takeover by the largest terrorist organization in the world.
The Lebanese leaders are obviously well aware of the impending end of the Lebanese state yet do precisely nothing to prevent it, namely no efforts are made to disarm Hezbollah and free the country from the control of the terrorist organization. The Christian leaders are hardly offended by the notion of an independent Aram. The Druze leaders may be happy about being annexed by Israel. The Sunni leaders may be happy with becoming part of Syria and no longer being a minority and the Shia leaders of course prepare for an apocalyptic confrontation with Israel. There are hardly any Lebanese patriots left in the kleptocratic ruling class. Those who are aware of Lebanon’s impending fate are either happy about it or else regard it as an inevitability. Of course Lebanon could move to dismantle Hezbollah and offer to conclude a peace agreement with Israel, but the ruling Lebanese class will do no such thing. The crew of this Titanic is steering steadily towards the iceberg knowing well the full extent of the consequences.
An independent Aram will be able to once more become the Switzerland of the Middle East and peace with Israel will enable complete integration with the Israeli economy through a free trade agreement, something which no doubt will be immensely beneficial for the economy of the reborn ancient nation. The Druze and Alawite regions of Lebanon will become integral parts of Israel, one of the twenty most developed economies in the world. This will no doubt be hugely economically beneficial to the Druze and the Alawites. The rest of Lebanon will become annexed by Syria under the leadership of the feminist PYD (Democratic Union Party) of the AANES. Syria will conclude peace with Israel and Aram, and both Syria and Aram will join the Abraham accords nations.
Lebanon has become a dystopian hellhole of deep poverty and terrorist control. The future for the peoples of Lebanon will look much brighter past partition.
