America must not Appease Terrorism

The US administration has decided on a framework that allows Hezbollah to freely attack Israel and Israeli forces while significantly restraining the Israeli response. This is untenable as Israeli soldiers are killed daily because Israel is restrained from acting appropriately against the terrorist organization. Since Hezbollah does not respect the ceasefire then why should Israel continue to do so? The major weakness and flaw of the Trump administration foreign policy is the largely inaccurate impression that the US does not stand by its allies which it in fact mostly does. This false impression could cause WWIII in Europe, could inspire China to attack Taiwan and has incentivized Hezbollah to daily attack Israel. This policy cannot stand. Israel was made part of the Iranian ceasefire despite not being part of the agreement and despite the fact that Iran does not hold its end of the bargain of opening the Hormuz straits to international sea traffic. So why should Israel abide by a ceasefire agreement of which it is not part while Iran and Hezbollah shamelessly violate the ceasefire on a daily basis? America must change its policy since this is harming American interests due to the impression that America does not stand by even a completely loyal, ”ideal” ally like Israel.
